Japanese publisher and developer Koei today announced the next sequel in its button-degrading combat series, Dynasty Warriors 6 (PS3), according to reports from the PlayStation Premiere event in Tokyo. The game will feature all new weapons, and will increase the amount of freedom given to the player, such as allowing for the possibility of nearly unlimited combo attacks. The company apparently plans to present a playable version of the game at the Tokyo Game Show in September, with a release to Japanese stores sometime this fall, according to IGN. No details on a North American release have been revealed. Koei also reportedly announced the resurrection of the PlayStation 3 version of its futuristic combat racer Fatal Inertia (PS3, X360). Developed by the company's Canadian subsidiary, the game was intitally set to be a PlayStation 3 launch title. After missing that deadline, PS3 version was reported as indefinitely delayed earlier this month. It now appears that Fatal Inertia was briefly mentioned at Sony's PlayStation Premiere event in Tokyo, indicating that the game is on track for release on the Sony system. The Xbox 360 version is scheduled to hit North America on September 11. Shacknews has contacted Koei for confirmation on both titles, but has not yet received a response.
