2K Sports Serves Up Top Spin 3
by Carlos Bergfeld, Jul 12, 2007 2:15pm PDTParis-based PAM Development will bring the third game in the Top Spin series to next-gen consoles this spring, publisher 2K Sports announced today. The game will arrive on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and will mark the first time a game in the series comes to a non-Microsoft console. "This game transcends the boundaries of what has previously been achieved in the acclaimed Top Spin franchise by ensuring every detail is accurate, from the cloud cover to lighting, from sweat to dirt on clothing, to every drop shot, slice, lob and backhand," said 2K president Christoph Hartmann. A detailed character customization mechanic will allow aesthetically inclined players to make a tennis pro of very specific aesthetics with tools for free-form body sculpting, makeup, and tattoos. Because tennis is about looking good.

I also hope they take out the trigger shots, but that probably won't happen.
but there's one thing that needs to change for top spin 2......
the career mode is very long, and very fucking boring. When you start a grand slam tournament.... it really really takes a long fucking time to finish it... mainly because the AI at times will be stupidly easy, and then STUPIDLY FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE.
that and the mini games still need work. They were much better in 2, but they were frustrating the way the training went on. Also the controls and randomness in some of the mini games were frustrating.

With so many franchises being passed off to other developers (sometimes rightfully so), it's good to see faith in the developers who initially brought it to life.
