PlayStation 3 owners will get the opportunity to try out The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's full expansion pack when the Game of the Year Edition of Bethesda Game Studios' wildly popular RPG ships this September for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Oblivion's GotY incarnation will include the Knights of the Nine content currently available for download on PC and Xbox 360 and included with the PS3 game, as well as the The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles expansion sold at retail for PC and via download for Xbox 360. Shivering Isles is currently available for the PlayStation 3 version of the game. Shacknews confirmed with Bethesda that this edition of Oblivion will mark the first availability of the expansion for PS3.

The game will allow players to continue from existing save files on all platforms.

well i'm glad they finally announced the GotY edition, been waiting for it for the 360 since i already have the PC version. I wish it were coming out sooner though, so many new games i haven't played and want to buy are due to be released late summer/fall. looks like Oblivion GotY in 2008 for me! hope i'm still interested by then :/
