Metroid Prime 3 Delayed, Screens Released

The screens look really good. I have very high expectations for this game and can't wait to try it. Some people are disappointed with the lack of online multiplayer, but I could care less. Metroid has always been about being alone in a mysterious world exploring your surroundings. I hope they have retained that feel with Corruption and used the Wii controller to their advantage.

Personally I think there is a lot riding on this game... not only is it a new addition to the Metroid series, it is also a proof of concept for using the Wii remote as a true aiming device ( I know Red Steel and CoD did it already, but this has the Nintendo stamp on it). If Retro/Nintendo were not able to pull the controls off correctly in this title, this will be a great disappointment and failure.

Metroid Prime 1 & 2 are awesome!! These games are so much fun. The music, graphics (simple yet perfect for the game), level design, bosses, etc - all kickass. The no loading is what makes it so fun and seemless.

I won't be purchasing a Wii, so I'm not really sure how I'm going to enjoy #3. I don't like the Wii controls...is there a GC version of Prime 3?

I forget.. does this game have online multiplayer?

Anyone know if it's going to support true free 'mouse look' controls with the Wii remote? Lack of even an option to use standard (Halo-type) controls kept me from ever getting truly good with the controls in Metroid Prime.

Nice to see they are starting to release some new media on Prime 3 finally. This set of shots is the best set they have released so far I think.

Great, now it's coming out the same day as Blue Dragon making it a $115 Tuesday outing.

are there gonna be some organic-ish zones? all the screens and vids i've seen have been strictly high-techy locations. it all looks the same to me, but if they are all from the same area and they are keeping much of the game a surprise, that's cool then :)

Now, on a more down note, the headline "Metroid Prime 3 Delayed" isn't really appropriate here. You're going to make people panic for no reason, because typically when a game is delayed we're talking 3 to 6 months. Seven days is nothing. Barely worth mentioning in the Boxed Up Briefs for that matter. No biggie, though, keep up the reporting!

Sometimes the media for this game looks horrible and sometimes like now it simply looks amazing. I can't wait to play this one
