Friday Resistance Downloads Add Maps, Lips
by Nick Breckon, Jun 28, 2007 5:23pm PDTThe fourth update for Insomniac's shooter Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3) is set to go live at 9am Pacific on Friday, adding new features and bug fixes. In addition, the previously announced map pack will be available for $7.99, offering the new multiplayer maps Westmorland (screenshot) and Camborne (screenshot). Servers for the game will be offline through tonight and tomorrow morning in preparation for the patch. With the update, Resistance servers will be compatible with worldwide connections, allowing players to compete against each other no matter their locations. Facial animation and lip syncing have been added for machinima fans. New map voting options, player muting, and ranked match balancing improvements are just a few of the many changes. Patch notes are available here. Players will be prompted to install the update when connecting online.

The Darkness looks fun. Might pick that up for the PS3 so I actually have a game on it.
