Where should I place my TV?

I recently moved into a condo and right now I am trying to figure out where the hell to place my tv. I moved it right infront of the main glass door leading to the balcony because there it is perfectly centered and when I wire my speakers It will only cross one small opening. If I place it on either of the side walls it sticks out a lot and wiring the rear speakers would run across the entire length of the floor and look horrible. It would fit nicely into corner to the right but then the speaker positions would be all jacked up:(

Here are pics of it so far and you can see it doesn't block too much of the glass door and there is a second entrance to the balcony in my bedroom anyways.

The other day, a guy came into CompUSA (where I work) asking for a router and some assorted networking materials. We got to talking and he then offered to talk to me about some job. I said sure, cause it never hurts to look, y'know? I met with him today, under the pretense that he worked with online advertising and marketing. Such was not the case.

As best as I can understand it, the company works similarly to Amazon or Sam's Club. They have all sorts of items that they offer at near-cost prices. What I would be doing is setting up and seeding a web site to draw buyers, and I would get a percentage off of that.

So I ask him where the money is in all this, he tosses some figures my way, and they're impressive, I won't lie. But his car is a piece of crap, for how much money he claims to make, and his suit is wrinkled and needs a good pressing. Red flag, yeah? Then he shows me a picture of his daughter, as we got onto the subject of supporting one's family. The picture he showed me, I'm ninety percent sure I've seen it elsewhere (baby with an about-to-drop droplet of saliva on her chin in a red polka dot dress).

At this point, I'm just waiting for the meeting to end so I can gtfo. He says he wants me to read some stuff over and get back to him on Thursday. He's going to get a big fat hell naw up in his face. Shady motherfucker.

I'm going to be moving from the wastelands of Jersey to the badlands of the Dallas area within a couple weeks, and I have some questions for all you people living out there. Things like, how do I find a good apartment out there? Are there any especially good/bad areas? Where's the best vantage point for looking in George's window for a glimpse of DNF?

I'm hoping the kindness of the shack can help me out a little here, because I'm on a very limited timetable. Also, you need to bolster your numbers, you're starting to look frail and weak with too many of you coming out to NY.

So apparently Virginia has has got "Civil Remedial Fees" in the works, which means you pay $1050 in civil fees for a reckless driving ticket, $2250 for a DUI, $750 for driving with a suspended licence, and $900 for "other misdemeanors."

(4) An additional fee. In one important way, these fees are like court costs. That
is, if the fee is applicable to a particular conviction, the court must assess the entire civil

by law, an applicable civil remedial fee must be assessed by the court in full. Finally, the
law provides that Ã¢Â€ÂœThe civil remedial fees established by this section shall be in addition
to any other fees, costs, or penalties imposed pursuant to the Code of Virginia.Ã¢Â€Â

So its an all or nothing thing Judges have no control over it.

I'm not coming at this from a crazy driver point of view (no offense to you crazy drivers). I've been pulled over once in my life for a routine sobriety check. But this seems ridiculous.

Does anyone know more about this?

About 10 years ago, my brother and I watched something on TV, possibly a TV movie on the sci-fi channel. In the movie, aliens (the "grey" kind) attacked a farm. It was shot similar to the way they did the Blair Witch project; ie one of the characters had a camera.

Can anyone help identify this? I've been searching for 2 days.

Texas used car sales tax. (aka Lol Texas)

A new law in Texas sets the default tax for used vehicle purchases at 6.25 % of 80 % of the vehicles state determined value (even if it's a beater). Not what you paid for it. The process can be appealed and the buyer can have the car appraised, but that costs up to $300.

Well I received my new northbridge chip fan, found it had only thermal tape to hold it to the chip, which would've been fine...had the chip not had a die. So now that plan is over and I have been planning on upgrading soon anyways, so I think I may do it nowish.

I'm currently running an Athlon 64 3400+, 2gb of RAM and a Radeon X800. I'm planning to upgrade to an Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM (DDR2 800 I think..) and a GeForce 8800 GTS 640mb (Running on a 21 inch LCD widescreen, with a native resolution of 1680x1050, thats why I'm going for the higher memory version). After checking Newegg, the upgrade is going to cost me roughly $950 but I heard there were some price cuts coming for AMD and Intel in July.

I guess my question is, does my upgrade seem worth it? Is there some better deal I can get out there? Would it be worth waiting for the price cuts? Any kind of useful information would be appreciated.

Seattle Area Shackers: This is a long shot but I've got 4 great tickets to the Mariners / Red Sox Wednesday afternoon game. I'm going but that'll leave three for anyone else who wants to tag along. Game starts at 1:35pm. Dice-k is on the mound for the Sox. The seats are lower level kinda behind home plate, just 26 rows off the field.

So my apartment is a brick oven and I can't afford AC. Its not that hot outside...right now its 89 degrees, but inside it just bakes even at night...since the brick is releasing all the heat it got from the day :(

My question though is if I do this, I'm really fucking stupid when it comes to even minor engineering tasks....although I rock with Legos. So my question is, what makes the siphon in this work? I'm just a bit confused on that part. So i put the hose in the cold water and run it through the copper tubing and then it gets warm and is released on the other end where I have another hose dumping it out the window right?

So I recently got this motherboard to replace my Asus one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186086 It is an nforce 430 chipset. On nvidia's nForce driver page which do I select?

nForce 430/410?
430/410/405/400 with integrated graphics(which is on the motherboard but I'm not using it)?
or just the 430/410/405/400 w/o integrated?
There is also a nforce 400/500 series AMD driver. They recently changed the file naming and it is really confusing now. Are they all just the 6.86 drivers?

I was at the DMV the other day renewing my car's registration and three people in there caught my eye. Two of the men were wearing bright orange jumpsuits with "BOP" written on their knees, and the third gentleman was wearing a sheriffs uniform was keeping a close eye on the other two. One of the "inmates" was seated at one of the little desks in the testing area taking what I presume to be a driving test.

It was quite a surreal experience to see two prisoners at the DMV taking a driving test while they must have been still serving a sentence or something.
