Geometry Wars Steamed to XP on the Cheap
by Chris Remo, Jun 19, 2007 4:59am PDTIndependent studio Bizarre Creations' crack team of developers has unlocked the key to bringing Windows XP support to its hit arcade shooter Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. Previously, the game's PC incarnation was only available for Windows Vista. Bizarre and Valve this week announced that the game has been added to Steam with a price tag of $3.95, the same as the game's Vista version. It has been discounted to $2.50 until June 22. Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved on Xbox 360 is sold through the Xbox Live Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points ($5). Valve has released several screenshots of the Windows XP game. This week's news follows the recent announcement of Kuju Entertainment's Geometry Wars: Galaxies for Wii and Nintendo DS.
