Red Fly to make fungi for the Wii and DS
[wii] [ds] Gamecock Media Group has divulged that Red Fly Studio's upcoming action-adventure title Mushroom Men will see release on both the Nintendo Wii and DS.
Presenting a surreal take on an every-day world through the perspective of a three-inch-tall mushroom, players will apparently be tasked with destroying household pests in defense of Mushroom-kind. Few details are known about the game, other than the fact that it will take advantage of the Nintendo systems' respective control schemes. A website for the game displays stylized concept drawings of three toadstool characters: the Scout, the Heavy, and the Sage.
Red Fly was named as a key developer for Gamecock when the publisher was formed last year, but the platform of their new intellectual property was previously unknown. Based in Austin, Texas, the Red Fly team is comprised of members with credits on games such as Anachronox, SSX3 and Deus Ex. The studio is lead by CEO Dan Borth, who recently served as the head artist on Sony Online Entertainment's Star Wars Galaxies.
Mushroom Men is due to ship early next year. Some artwork was sent along by Gamecock, and a teaser trailer can be grabbed from Fileshack. -

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey for the Xbox. "Dreamfall had an amazing story with incredible depth (religion, politics, corporate power) and an unparalled cast of characters. I especially loved Crow and April. Hopefully its episodic continuation will come soon. This story must be finished." (submitted by engelak)
