With yesterday's holiday it's one less day to go until its weekend again. Whee! Also on FileShack

  • Wii Menz:

After spending some time with Wario Ware last night, and Wii Sports over the weekend, I have a question for you guys.

Do you think it's possible to make, say, a full blown Wii Boxing game that's accurate/skill based? What I mean is with Wii Boxing for instance, its not very accurate at all. Boxing matches turn into two idiots basically throwing their arms at the screen... over and over. Is the Wii-mote accurate at all?

I noticed in Wario Ware as well, a lot of the mini games just have you make one motion and you could probably make that motion anywhere in the room and it would register the same way. Perhaps since it's new and those games are new they don’t have it down just right yet?

It would be sweet if you could make a very precise baseball game, but I'm not sure it's possible really. It's certainly a fun system at partys, but could they ever make a truly competitive game with this control setup? Is there really anything that makes the game accurate, or are we randomly generating movements with this thing, with the Wii just spitting out whatever it thinks the player deserves. It's hard to explain I guess what I'm asking...
