GSC Game World today announced that following the success of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, more games based on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe are on the way. The company plans to announce these products at July's E3 Media & Business Summit. "We are very happy of the players' positive reaction to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. all over the world. This fills us with confidence the team is on the right track and adds us strength to go for next exciting accomplishments. It will be very soon that we present our new interesting ideas and solutions," said GSC Game World CEO Sergiy Grygorovych.

Maybe this time they could include some weapons that didn't take 1000+ hits per enemy. I could take down someone in full level IIIA body armor with a daisy red ryder sooner then kill some of the enemies with the guns in this game.

Interesting idea... they can fix the bugs in the first game and then use the polished code to perhaps come up with new titles.

I'm waiting to grab the first one, I take it the list of bugs has gone down to a reasonable level by now? The concept and implementation sounds solid, just waiting for less crashes.

I think the popularity of this game came from years of hype. The game definitely did not deliver. I doubt the sequels or the spinoffs will do so well.

Really looking forward to this. I really liked the game so much that I would defend it in some discussions I would have with my friends. They say that the game looks horrible, I say they are a bunch of cheap bastards for not upgrading there PC's accordingly.

Well they fucked some things up with the first stalker. Seeing how they got positive feedback for being such an innovative some dev game, hopefully they will come back strong in the next one. I'm looking forward to seeing what they can come up with (and actually implement).
