Video Games Live Goes International
by Chris Remo, May 07, 2007 9:55am PDTGame music concert series Video Games Live will see an expanded worldwide tour in Europe, Asia, and Australia, thanks to a new partnership with management firm IMG Artists. This week's announcement comes in addition to an existing relationship with talent agency William Morris. Eurasian cities and countries slated to feature Video Games Live performances in the 2007/2008 season include Germany, Italy, Sweden, Paris, the United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, Singapore, China, Sydney, and Tokyo. Specific venues and dates have not yet been announced. Video Games Live, created by game music veterans Tommy Tallarico (pictured left) and Jack Wall, has seen 22 performances since 2005. The program has hit locations outside of the Americas before, with past shows in London and Wellington, New Zealand. Later this month, there will be a Video Games Live performance at Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational in Seoul, South Korea. "Partnering globally with IMG Artists will ensure our success on a much more rapid time scale than we had previously expected", said Tallarico. "To have both the William Morris Agency and IMG Artists now in our corner is a testament to the strong growth and rising interest for our show on an international level." More detail on upcoming tour dates is expected soon.
