by Chris Remo, May 03, 2007 4:49am PDTTHQ announced today that it plans to publish an RPG developed by strategy-oriented developer Big Huge Games. Presumably, the game in question is the RPG first announced by Big Huge Games this February. Heading up development is designer Ken Rolston (pictured left), who previously held a design role at Bethesda Game Studios lasting from The Elder Scrolls: Redguard to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. "I'm flabbergasted by the talent, craft and boundless energy of the Big Huge Games team," said Rolston. "In such splendid company, I'm privileged to embark on a bold pilgrimage to create a refreshingly original RPG experience. I know eager game fans will share our excitement as we reveal further details in the coming months." Big Huge Games is best known as the developer of Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends, and recently developed Catan for Xbox Live Arcade. No details regarding setting or gameplay were released, though THQ stated that the game is being developed for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC with a release projection of 2009.
