Del Rey Has Novel Idea For Command & Conquer 3
by Chris Faylor, Apr 27, 2007 9:51am PDTElectronic Arts and Del Rey Books have announced a novel based off EA LA's RTS Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars. Titled Command & Conquer Tiberium Wars, the book follows the game's storyline, with the self-replicating Tiberium corrupting the Earth while the Global Defense Initiative, Brotherhood of Nod and the alien Scrin battle for control of the land, the Tiberium, and thus, the planet's fate. Penned by Keith R. A. DeCandido, the novel will release in the US and Canada on May 29, 2007, with the UK and Germany release a few months later. In the past, DeCandido has written novels based on a variety of film and TV franchises, including Star Trek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in addition to game-based works such as World of Warcraft: Cycle of Hatred and StarCraft Ghost: Nova. With the announcement, EA's Command & Conquer franchise joins an ever-growing list of game series that have been turned into novels, which includes Bungie's Halo, Cyan's Myst, Rare's Perfect Dark Zero, Midway's Mortal Kombat, Capcom's Resident Evil, and as noted above, Blizzard's StarCraft and Warcraft properties. Developed by EA LA, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars released on PC in late March to glowing reviews, with an Xbox 360 version slated for May 10.

I'm no expert, and certainly no journalist, but don't you mean "based on"? You're talking about the novel based on the game, are you not?
Am I wrong on this?
