I posted before about my dad wanting a theater in a box thing for $400 or so. Since then he's come around a little bit and changed his mind to something else so the old advice won't work. Can you guys help? He said he'd pay me to get it and set it up which means decent money for me. This is the e-mail he sent me.
"Since you have lots of free time, I wanted to see if you wanted to research and find a good stereo for under $1000. I would want one to hook up to the tv, and have its own tuner. I would want one with a total harmonic distortion (THD) of around .002%."

So I'm getting a little sick of the class balance & design in WoW. I don't like the fact that they seem to want every class to be able to solo and pvp and dps and buff and whatever.

Anybody have any thoughts about the games that are coming out? Age of Conan interests me, but it's emphasis on PvP isn't exactly my cup of tea.

I talked my RTS fanatic cousin into picking up C&C3 last night.

Well we're totally disappointed.

Lots of little annoying things just add up to a no-fun experience.

One major problem, whats with the 1/2 second pause/lag when mouse scrolling around the map? I can't find an adjustable setting, we/he wants it to mouse scroll instantly.

No tilt 3d camera work.... he's addicted to Dawn of War's tilting and thinks/insists that it be a standard - he almost uninstalled after 5 seconds of play when it camera wouldn't tilt.

Mini-map on the right side of the screen, ok thats a first and is kinda hard to get used to... they should let you move it where you want.

there's more but those are the majors.

New Music Royalty Rates May Shut Down Internet Radio

On Friday March 2nd, the U.S. government, through the Copyright Royalty Board (CRB), made a determination of the royalty rates Internet Radio webcasters must pay the owners of sound recording copyrights to license the music they webcast for the years 2006-2010. The license is paid to SoundExchange, a nonprofit organization that collects royalty payments from digital music broadcasters and distributes them to rights holders.

The issue is that the new rates completely ignore the business and market realities of Internet Radio. In a nutshell they expect many webcasters, such as at Digitally Imported, to pay far greater money for licensing than we ever even collect from all of our services, effectively driving webcasters out of business.

I don't need a camera or mp3 player or game device or personal massager or spreadsheet manager, I just need a phone but I also can't be away from Shack for more than an hour without sedatives being involved.

Okey so I have this here 8800GTS that is begging to be tortured (yes it's freaky and into all kinds of weird shit) but I don't actually have much for it to do.

I went and played Doom 3 on ultra, and that didn't exactly look amazing, I installed the demos, and they were nice but they aren't actually a game are they, and then there's CoH and SupCom, which are cool, but an RTS is really not about the 3D graphics epeen, so I want something like Crysis or UT3 but which I can play now. And I just can't find it, halp :(

I've re-installed Deus Ex, but it keeps crashing on launch. I get that pre-launch menu, but once I hit "Run" it will change my resolution, blank the screen, then just eat shit. The log reveals nothing. It just seems to quit while doing a renderer check. I've patched the game, downloaded the hacked renderers, and tried all the different renderers, but it still crashes.

I just want to play some Deus Ex. :[

If someone created a way to convert Quake 2 demo files into videos. Seriously. I have ooold demos from early q2ctf games, some from the Invite Capture Ring ( think that was it) ICR tourney my clan won (TULL). Man I would love that, has anyone heard of anyone who tried to do that.

So get this. I hve to go back to the Bar to give the keep some documents/items. So I get shot up every time I try to get into the Bar area. I think I may have shot up some Duty guys. So how do I get into the area without getting gunned down. I am stuck I guess now.

I have purchased a rear sway bar for my car. Has anyone done this to a FWD car around here? What can I expect to happen in the real world opposed to what it says it will do? I have a habit of not slowing down for turns and off ramps. Am I going to oversteer into a tree?
