Telltale Unveils Sam & Max Season Finale
by Chris Remo, Apr 12, 2007 10:56am PDTAlongside the worldwide release of Sam & Max Season 1, Episode 5: Reality 2.0 today, Telltale Games has officially announced the final title in its first season of Sam & Max monthly episodic adventure games. In Episode 6: Bright Side of the Moon, which will serve as the series' first season finale, Sam & Max head to the moon as the nefarious schemings that have unfolded across the course of the season come to a head. Longtime Sam & Max fans may recall that this is not the crime-fighting duo's first expedition to the lunar sphere. In 1992, Sam & Max creator Steve Purcell published "Bad Day on the Moon," an issue of Sam & Max in which the protagonists battled massive invading cockroaches. That issue was adapted into an episode of the same name on the ill-fated Sam & Max animated television show "The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police."
Telltale has released several screenshots from the episode, along with a brief teaser trailer. Sam & Max Season 1, Episode 6: Bright Side of the Moon is scheduled to premiere on the GameTap service on April 26, 2007, with a general worldwide release on May 10, 2007.

Honestly I don't want it to end now. I went in expecting to be really dissapointed but now I'm wishing it would never end. Each episode has gotten better and better, right now I'm still going through Episode 5 and it's a blast.
This series has proven two things -
1) Adventure gaming is NOT dead, it just needs good ideas
2) Episodic works!
I just hope there will be a season 2.

However, Sam & Max was absolutely hilarious
If they offer this as a full package, I'll probably pick it up
