NWN 2 started out good, but it just seemed to turn into something that felt really unfinished. :(
This better be *complete* if I am to purchase this.

Has the game gotten a lot better after all the patches?

NWN2 was disappointing. Controls, combat, etc. all so clunky and painful. I just couldn't play it for long without getting rather irritated.
I mean, it's good... I just been distracted by other great game experiences.
