Cruise Line Promotes Wii, UK Jails Bar PS3
by Chris Faylor, Mar 30, 2007 10:11am PDTNorwegian Cruise Line recently unveiled plans to introduce the Nintendo Wii on its fleet of 15 "in service and under construction" cruise ships within the next month. The systems will be located in each ship's atrium, Kid's Crew facility, and some other unspecified public rooms. Passengers will be able to choose between various Nintendo-published titles, including Wii Sports, Wii Play, WarioWare: Smooth Moves and Excite Truck. On the other end of the spectrum, ITV News discovered that the PlayStation 3 has been banned from UK jails. According to UK Home Office head John Reid, "the Sony PlayStation 3 was barred from the prison estate because of the equipment's ability to send and receive radio signals."
