I played the crap outta TFC even while on dialup, but that was before the BF series and CS became huge and drew away bunches of players. Other than the name and nostalgia combined with some new graphics, can this compete with the online games coming out at the same time? I wouldn't have wanted Valve to have spent this long only to have it last a couple months and fade away.

something else anyone seen the gta IV trailer yet its supposed to be out but i cant get to rockstars site it seems to be hammered. you think they would have gotten more bandwidth for this.
No grenades = something that should have been done long ago. TFC is a giant spamfest on most servers because of them.
Medic that is actually useful for healing = awesome. I won't be missing the conc-jumping, disease spreading medics of the past. Oh, and the player model looks completely awesome too (as do all the new player models).
The only thing that worries me is the engineer turrets becoming too powerful. With the removal of grenades, that means that only the soldier and the demoman are going to be able to take turrets down. Of course, this will make teamwork more important, something which (ironically) has never been that critical in the game.
Oh, and the fact that the Source engine runs butter smooth while looking crisp and beautiful gives it even more points.
