I don't get it, man. How can anyone not see that this is a terrible idea. MMORPG players have some of the screwiest ideas of whats fun, please don't empower them!

The community-made approch is pretty interesting. I'm curious, yet skeptical. I see this playing out as either:

* Completely unplayable due to the 100s of different visions on what the end game should be,

* A garbled mash of brilliant ideas, or

* Just ok.

Well, it's not really community made. This is basically a forum exercise - the developers will be picking through and shaping the suggestions and looking to see who has their head screwed on. Then they choose those people to directly contribute to the game.
