  That is so pointless. The only way to avoid having your game pirated is to not make it. That sucks, people should learn, etc etc etc. Making a 'steam' type system will most likely do nothing to dissuade piracy; and in some cases hasn't it allowed for earlier "0-day" pirates?
  
  Worst of it all, they could just move to consoles and not worry about it. Although I'm not that familiar with Funcom, I hate the idea of losing publishers to Consoles as I just can't enjoy playing most games on a console (some genres excluded).
