Battlefield 2142 v1.20 Patch

The Battlefield 2142 v1.20 patch is now available for download on FileShack. There are of course a number of different bug fixes and changes, just click 'more details' on the file page for a list.

Its a shame that previous games (BF2, Vietnam) killed this series from people buying this.

It kicks much ass and actually works great. I wish I had a VPN active so I could have this ready to go later. :[

  there are better games out there right now. that's why people are not buying this game. 2142 is for kids compared to all other games in this series.

    How is it for kids? It's the same formula with a grittier yet real futuristic feel to it. I just don't see your comparison... at all.

  What are you talking about? BF Vietnam was an awesome game and one I still prefer over the "newer" battlefield games. You should blame things like recent bugs, a splintered community through booster packs and cheating, not the excellent game BF: Vietnam.

  BF2 is great. BFV was hit or miss for people, but BF2 was good and increased the user base multiple fold over that of the 1942 community. In fact, BF2 is the third most popular FPS behind CS1.6 and CS:S in terms of users playing. You've got to understand that while the shack is elitist and rejected BF2 because of it being 'EA' and the initial bugs, the general gaming community enjoys it thoroughly. 2142 is not far behind BF2 either.
