Athlon65 X2 6000+ CPU Released

The new Athlon64 X2 6000+ CPU hits the review circuit over at TechReport, AnandTech and AMDZone. The new chip turns in some fairly good numbers but Intel is still ahead of the game these days.

Steve Gibson is the cofounder of Shacknews.com. Originally known as sCary's Quakeholio back in 1996, Steve is now President of Gearbox Publishing after selling Shacknews to GameFly in 2009.

    Not to nitpick... but I think it's still called the 'Athlon64' Mr. Gibson.

    Or is this another shake-joke that wizz'd by me. =(

      Maybe its a reference to a switch to the 65nm process. Not sure though.

      Doh, typo. the 6000+ is a 90nm processor.
