Forgot to mention yesterday yet another NVidia Vista driver release. These ones are somehow WHQL certified if you can believe that. They are listed as 8800 specific but actually work for 6/7 series cards as well. Grab the 32bit and 64bit builds.

it's shit, like all the previous ones. Missing features in the control panel, won't save settings and shitty performance. I regret buying Nvidia over ATI at this point.

The WHQL tests can't check the installer (doesn't set the flag to stop Vista saying the program may not have installed properly) or the control panel (complains about 8 fucking times when you launch it that you don't have admin rights, because it's still not been updated to work with UAC).

The drivers themselves are definitely improving, though. A bunch of the problems I was experiencing had gone away over the last few updates. There's still a way to go though.
