#7#8 I haven\'t noticed any particular strange behavior with the sound blaster live in win2000, but in quake3 I have ,the sound is broken and is more than likely the reason ID doesn\'t support the card. I\'m using the drivers that ship with w2k ,when live 4.0 is released -then I\'ll upgrade the drivers,so as far as the present drivers go haven\'t tried them and won\'t be.

#4 you can change the name \"Doh\" what I like about win 2k is the way it works with win 98 ,on it\'s own partition or on the same partition and if you are daring you can run win 98 inside of win 2k or vice versa,what I\'m not fond of is the way it detects and sets the refresh rates for monitors- on the other hand I do like to set my own refresh rates. I found it\'s set up to be superior to any other os at this time.

I really hope the hardware manufacturers come up with some fast and reliable drivers. It\'s great that OpenGL works fine in Win2k, but what about D3D? I hate waiting.
