NVidia Vista Support Plans

NVidia has opened a Vista Quality Assurance page on their website, noting that "NVIDIA is committed to supporting Microsoft Windows Vista on current and previous GPU generations". There are also plans for monthly driver releases. Thanks Tech Report.

I really hope they are serious about this. Vista 8800 performance is just awful.

Of course they're serious about it. To not be serious would mean just throwing in the towel and handing the market to ATI. Go ahead and toss that in the 'highly unlikely' bucket.

No I didn't mean it like that. I just hope they realize that the performance is awful right now and actually take a step back and be like "wtf lets fix this". I want to run Vista, I really do, but these drivers are holding me back.

I'm sure they know all about it, and they want to fix it as soon as possible. I hope they can do it too, but it's not like they can just wave a magic wand...
