How do I set up patrols? I'm not sure I'm doing it right.
How do I use the transports to ferry units across the river in the second map? I has a group of about 100 tanks / mobile aa and tried to use a group of 6 transports to move them across. They moved about 80% of them and then refused to pick up any more. I then tried to move a second group, and nothing happened. What does the ferry button do?
What does the assist button on some units do?

I'm on the first of the campaign missions. I built two air factories, and whenever I buy a flying unit, it flies down south/south-east and off the map. If I hold shift I can see that they're being waypointed down there. If I select the air factory and right click for a new "rally" point, it sets it briefly and then reverts.
Because of this, if I don't sit there and baby-sit the air factories, it's pretty much impossible to build up an air force.

Luckily, I've learned my lesson in previous instances. Download it to one hard drive, unzip it from that one to another hard drive, then install it to yet another drive so they don't thrash so hard. Unzipping or installing to the same drive as the source is really slow...

It still needs an option to toggle on a micro hud....
The current one is way too damn big on ANY rez....
I want to see the game.. not half the screen hud...

The official website doesn't say, at least not that I could find.
Could have saved that 1 GB of bandwidth, since it won't work for me.

I am all about tactical RTS games. I hate the cluster of men you just rush at the enemy with the only thought being that I focus fire on one unit at a time. Right now the only game that scratches that itch is the Total War games. I hate micro-managing units. I also hate the rock, paper, scissors gameplay that many RTS games employ (one unit kills only kills air units, another only kills infantry, etc.). I just want the control that a General would have over an army.
The thing I dislike about this game is it is too big. I do not mind the number of units, but with this number I should not have to command each unit and have a lack of formations. There are nice controls for units, but it still feels like all I am doing is making a hordes that I rush the enemy with. I feel like all I have to do is create a huge group that I rush at the enemy. In real battles only the biggest/most expensive units get built one at a time, but no unit should be working TOTALLY independent of his comrades.
Also, I had thought they were getting rid of the build order rush from most RTS games. I really hate being destroyed because my opponent has the build order memorized with an early rush of weaker units.
Bottom line: this game is not for me. Not a bad game, just not for me.

Started up again and went to change details. Got the same hard crash and comp rebooted.
This time only changed a few details and it didn't crash. Went to try out the tutorial. Crashed. rebooted.

Just kidding. I like playing strategy games but I suck at them. Is this game on the difficult side or is it tweakable?
