This is a game that needs a graphical overhaul and to polish up the early / mid game with new quests and more exciting events. The PvP in this game can be quite fun, and if their world is plenty big enough as is. They just need to tune up the graphics and make that early level grind much more fun.

If they did that, I think they'd have a lot of success.

The thing with MMORPGS that fail, there isn't really a good sense of "Lore" behind the game. DAOC was a clusterF... of different mythos clumped together but nothing really tying them together but the fact you're fighting these people that you can't understand for fortresses out in the middle of nowhere for no real reason.. now if there was some sort of story that developed in the main game and they had some major NPC characters and stories involving the other realms to get your imagination going it would help..

too late now.. warhammer should be ok..

needs a sequel to update the mechanics to be more up-to-date (as well as the graphics) and to get a new wave of players (if some of the 8mill can pull their asses from WoW0 and id buy it! I loved the first one for about 3 months, but after a few week break my guilded leveled past me and it was never the same so i quite. Now its pretty much a wasteland it sounds like. Too bad, its PvP was way more deep than WoW.

uh, thats just not true. look at the server list right now. all but one cluster (and the rp server...) have over 1000 players on. night times top out at 2500-3000. now, 1000 PER individual server....probably not.

Hmm, I've been toying with the idea of starting up my account again. It's been a few years now and I miss my animist, but I dont know if it would be worth it.
