Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike Closed Beta Testing

If you're interested in testing the upcoming Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike booster pack, you can head over to the CombatTesting.com website to sign up. According to EA, "Testing will be conducted on Ranked Servers and stats won't be wiped".

Yeah I got in on this the other day. Although I'm enjoying the beta, just be warned that it also includes updating 2142 to a beta patch level as well. This means that you won't be able to play anything but the beta of NS on a couple of servers setup by combattesting. Seeing as the beta might be a new couple of months, you might find yourself dumping it at a later date and reinstalling the regular version.

  Make a copy of your game files before installing the patch. Problem solved.
