For those still concerned about the visuals, keep in mind this thing has come a LONG way. I have to agree with the assesment that it compares favorably with Source, maybe even somewhat better.

Well I'm glad we're moving from STALKER FAQs to STALKER previews. The AI sounds like it will be something more than we've seen the past five years in FPSes, and weapon aging adds to inventory management (how many times have you grenaded someone, or crushed them with a truck, only to find that their rifle is in 100% new condition? This is going to be an interesting game dynamic).

Those are the kinds of comments I wanted to hear about STALKER. Hopefully it will turn out to almost live up to its promises of an extremely dynamic world.

Oblivion sure as hell didn't. It was the game that got my self-hype focus off of STALKER, due to Oblivions supposedly dynamic NPC system, which turned out to be just another way to script pathing routines.
