*yawn* Movie: Freeze? I'm a robot. I'm not a refrigerator.

  • So, what did the early-bird Vanguard players think of the final game this past weekend?

I liked it, but it was tough getting used to it after playing WoW and EQ2 so much. It's definitely a lot slower-paced in both general movement and combat, but it has a nice style that I think will go places in the next few months. The scenery is beautiful, and the viewable distance is crazy. I think the player models need some work though; the skins are really nice, but they move like robots.

I'm liking the Monk and the Bard (the only two I played), but I'm sure I'll start ten different classes before settling on one to go all the way with.

As for bugs ... sure, it had some, but it was easy to report them in-game. I didn't have one crash, to my pleasant surprise. In fact, the only bugs I ran into were cosmetic (but I'm sure there were a lot more).

I'll be picking up the retail copy this afternoon. I can't wait to see the manual. It will probably be something like this:

    Introduction ... Pages 1 - 2
    General Gameplay ... Pages 3 - 7
    Crafting ... Pages 8 - 411
