Dave Perry's MMOs Begin Closed Beta Testing
by Chris Remo, Jan 17, 2007 12:02pm PSTAcclaim Games has announced that two of its upcoming MMOs, 2Moons and Dance, have entered closed beta phases. Though the company has been accepting beta applications for each game for a few months, players are still able to register for a chance to participate. Head to the official 2Moons site or the official Dance site for more. Both games are being created with the cooperation of former Shiny Entertainment founder and president Dave Perry, who went independent last year to start his own game consultancy venture. Each of the games' sites features a David Perry logo in the bottom right; 2Moons' page features "Directed by David Perry" and Dance's has "David Perry Video Game." The industry veteran has stated that 2Moons will be more violent than most MMOs, and is expected to carry a rating of M for Mature. Dance is...an MMO in which you dance. With dance pads. Seriously. Bearing the name of the infamous and now defuct publisher Acclaim since the brand was put up for sale last year, Acclaim Games is a recently formed MMO-focused publisher with an emphasis on adapting Asian MMOs to the Western market.

I don't understand the appeal of most MMOs, but that one seems especially silly.
