Funcom sent out a press release, announcing their adventure game Dreamfall: The Longest Journey is now on Steam. For the first two weeks the game is available for $29.99, the price will go up to $39.99 after that.

Is it just me or is steam turning into the place where games that didn't do that well in retail go to try and get a second chance?

Obviously there are exceptions to this but it seems like for the most part steam is like a really well stocked second hand game store.

Don't get me wrong I actually really like that rare and difficult to find games are showing up on steam (psychonauts).

      I don't know what it's like overseas, but retail copies will drop in price while the steam price stays high. I love getting a good price on a game and steam seems to be preventing that - so far anyway. Here's to hoping that improves with time.
