More Burning Crusade Midnight Launches

Yesterday Blizzard announced that it would be collaborating with Fry's Electronics and GameStop/EB Games on four World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade midnight launch events nationwide. Today, GameStop/EB Games announced that thousands of its stores will be holding their own midnight events for the game to kick off its January 16 launch. Over 2,600 stores are participating, and are listed on GameStop's official site. Stores will have screen shot character judging contests, card game tournaments, and costume contests, so please bring cameras.

So if you bought this game at launch, and have played since launch, and intend on buying this expansion, you will have wasted close to $460 on WOW. Congrats on showing that character to your kids as your accomplishment in life.

Looks like the EB Games in Bondi Junction, Sydney is doing it too... and because of the time zone difference, we'll be getting it WHOLE HOURS before you North Americans... :-)

walmart has midnight sales of new release all the time nothing to see here. :) Hate to say it but i won't shop at ebgames or gamestop anymore becuase of their incredibly shrinking pc shelf space.... i know i'm brave in sticking it to the man. PC 4 life YO!

Just got off the Phone with EBgames on Maple in Burlington, Ontario.

Closest Midnight opening for EB is in Toronto. ( Oakville apparently has 1 bestbuy midnight opening though )

Some Best Buy locations are having midnight launches.

Futureshop is opening at 8am to handle the launch. They will be giving out prizes.

EBGames is holding midnight launches. I only know the one in the Oshawa Centre (ON) and the one at Eglinton & Yonge (ON) are. Might be wise to check your local store and see what's up.
