We'll qualify this week as very miserable! I've missed you girls a lot but am back now. Yay! Oh and for the curious yes we're sending Chris out to CES to check all that silliness out. He'll be at the Tropicana if you want to send hookers.

Lastly, gadget frenzy is coming! Seems that show gets bigger and bigger. Looking forward to all the HDDVD/BR consolidation thingies in the works. I'd like the big screen iPod though now also.

my adventures in online ticket scalping

2 for Pistons at Mavericks, 12/7/2006
    Paid - $110 per
    Total Price - $243.95

    I used these two tickets.

4 for Lakers vs Mavericks, 1/18/2007
    Paid - $148 per
    Total Price - $663.15

2 sold for Cash on CraigsList, $300 per ($600). 2 sold on StubHub, I'm receiving $544 for the pair. Total profit: $480.85

2 for Rockets vs Mavericks, 2/9/2007
    Paid - $108 per
    Total Price - $249.55

2 sold on StubHub, I received $380.80 for the pair. Total profit: $131.25

2 for Saints vs Cowboys, 12/10/2006.
Paid - $250 per (they were on the 50!)
    Total Price - $561.95

    So all told:

Pistons at Mavs (I went to this game) - cost of $243.95
Saints at Cowboys (I went to this game) - cost of $561.95
Lakers at Mavs - profit of $480.85
Rockets at Mavs - profit of $131.25

    Net Loss - $193.80

So I got courtside seats to a Mavs game and I got to sit on the 50 and watch the Saints stomp the crap out of the Cowboys (an outcome I celebrated since I'm from LA) for a cost of $193.80.

Not bad, sort of stressful to sink that much cash into tickets for an extended payout (I had spent $1718.60 on tickets before reselling a single one) but it all seemed to work out in the end. Will I do it again next year if I can find the same deal? I just might.
