BF2142 Ads Showing Upcoming Content?
Planet Battlefield is carrying a story about the possibility of new content being added to Battlefield 2142. One of the in-game ads shows a Groundhog type vehicle called the Goliath for the EU, noting that it is "finally combat ready!" while another ad might be showing a new map, and another shows a PAC transport vehicle called the "Hachimoto".

replyThis sounds kind of silly, but I actually liked the fact that there was an ad for the discovery channel show 'future weapons' that's starting a new season in a week or 2. Topical to the game, and I wouldn't have known otherwise. :) Haven't seen any ads other than that and the Intel ones though.

I think it's good because it makes some fricking sense (futuristic shooting game <-> documentary about futuristic weapons) even if it's outside of the immersion. But it's not like many other ads would do the same. Seeing a Nike ad on a post-apocalyptic world where people are fighting for territory would make me nauseous.
