Anyone else things this looks too medieval-ish? I always picture Middle Earth architecture as more primitive. This reminds me of Camelot in DAoC. Should be more stone work and less painted wood or something. Just doesn't look like I ever pictured Bree.

No, the licence only covers the books and not the movies. You'll never see anything that looks like the movies, same thing with the important characther like aragorn or gandalf.
