by Maarten Goldstein, Dec 22, 2006 8:28am PSTAccording to an update on the World of Warcraft website, Blizzard has closed down a whopping 105,000 accounts, removing over 12 million gold from the world economy. Blizzard closes accounts over things like cheating, and the farming of gold and items.

i just love GCR becuase it's feels like i'm playing with gamers who enjoy playing mmo's, not people who live and breath mmo's.

Unfortunately this is just a drop in the bucket and the pro gold farmers will just go out and buy another retail box (my local Best Buy has it for $20 USD) and level a character to 60 in a few days.
Massive inflation is inevitable in an economy of unlimited supply and unlimited demand.
