DEFCON 1.2 Patch

A new DEFCON patch has been released, updating the boxed version to v1.2. The patch adds a new mod support system.

      I bought it, I like it, but it does seem to have fizzled out, talk-wise, here at the shack

        I guess I won't be buying it then. I love the idea, but if people aren't really playing, I have no desire to throw $15 out the door.

            well there is only so much you can do. If instead of locking the game to 6 areas of the world, and instead making a map builder or something that would let you redefine where people positioned their strategic resources then you are allowed the oppurtunity for more diverse playing environments. It can still be fun to play, but it's more of a game for the weekly bridge club or something. Not a game I'd want to play 24/7...

            Also, I felt that it justified its purchase at the price of 10 bucks... wouldn't pay 15 for it, not with it's limited features. Go rent wargames for 2.95 on On Demand... proabably just as satisfying.

      I play this game nightly. The tactics just keep getting more and more complicated. It's really a very intense strategic game. It might take 5 minutes to join a game, but those are fun games (6 players, a couple hours long)
