I'd like to setup a small webpage so that someone can dump their photos onto it while traveling and such. Normally I'd just go the FTP route, but this needs to be a bit more tech-uninclined friendly.
Is there some sort of standard PHP photogallery type package that would allow people to upload their pics to a server of mine? I don't know much about this other than the kids seem to like that Flickr thing, but it's not really what I'm looking for.

I've said some mean things about Sin in the past (the game sucks), but Sin Episodes Emergence (SEE!) is so fucking way hella better in every way possible. No major glitches or bugs, better level design overall (and that first level in the intro was a nice touch for people that suffered through the first game), the music is flat out awesome (totally ordering the soundtrack), and the smaller, more focused weapon selection mixed with the high pace action made it feel like a first person run and gun.
Dialog and character design were both terrible (as is to be expected of the franchise!), but it was nowhere near as annoying as in the first game.
Gonna have to make a blog post later tonight covering Sin Ep1 and HL2 Ep 1. Only 2 more games this year before I hit my quota (1 completed game per week average for the year)

Just guess who the reviewer was..
Gerstmann'd
Why do they let this idiot review things, you always hear complaints about him, and just reading this review, it seems like he goes out of his way to disagree with the majority

I was planning to hit the closest Walmart at 8-9pm to get a read on the Wii hype. If there were huge lines, I was going to stand in line like an like the idiot I am. Now I found out that I got set up on a date. I can still back out I think, but a friend of mine REALLY wants me to meet some girl he works with. Please reassure me that the Wii won't be hard to find and that the lines won't be full at 10-11 pm...
Wii...

I never had any intentions of selling it after camping out for my pre-order weeks ago but after playing mine for 6hrs last night I came away underwhelmed but a big reason for that is I already own a 360 and a game capable PC (although that's 2yrs old now and needs to be updated with DX10 and a new cpu next spring). Don't get me wrong the system is good and no doubt will be worth the investment in the future but I was disappointed with Resistance and this guy sums up my thoughts well http://www.shacknews.com/ja.zz?id=13270904 and while it's not a bad game when you already down a 360 and a game capable PC there isn't much else in the PS3's lineup that kept me from saying yes to the offer. To gamers who don't own a 360/PC it's a much better deal especially with games like Oblivion coming out next year, but I've already played that and I'd rather spend my money on newer titles like Mass Effect, Lost Planet, Supreme Commander and even PS2 stuff like God of War 2. I had a whole other paragraph on things I don't like about the system in terms of functionality and features but no need to get into that.
Another reason I took the money is I am already spending a good amount of money this holiday season with two plane trips back home to CA (not cheap!) to visit my family for thanksgiving and Christmas, my Wii is paid off for tomorrow night pickup, various PS2, 360 and PC games I have purchased recently or plan to purchase and of course holiday gifts. I will definitely be picking up a machine again in the near future once more games like Heavenly Sword come out or when I can just walk in a store and buy one. These days I love owning all the consoles because I hate missing out the good games they get overtime. From what I've briefly read I probably could have got more from my system via eBay but I didn't want to deal with the potential scams or zero feedback buyers getting the winning bid.
The women is sick so i'm going to get online soon for some Gears action and prepare myself for a marathon Zelda session tomorrow at midnight.

Nexus War is growing on me. It's got more of a learning curve than Urban Dead, but once you figure it out it's more fun because there is more stuff to do. I've got a couple guys at level 2 so far, one through combat and one purely through healing people.
The interface is pretty good, it's based on UD but is more refined.
Gameplay is similar, but the big difference I've seen so far is it's harder to tell who you should attack. At low levels there isn't an obvious way to tell, often you just have to attack and see which way your morality goes.
So if you like Urban Dead but want something more complex try out www.nexuswar.com . A lot of UD'ers have moved there, like some people from the Big Bash.

I'm all signed up on the PS Network ("Masem"), and just about to start R:FoM.
I just with the mem card reader adapter was out (or does anyone know any easy tricks otherwise for mem card transfer?)
I can't kill RAAM. I use the bow to get the bats off of him, then unload my rifle into him. I never kill him. Either he kills Dom, and when I come out to take care of him I die, or he simply walks right up to me (taking bow, rifle, bow, rifle combo over and over) and kills me by unloading his gun into me.
What am I doing wrong?
