I've been in the beta for about two weeks now, and, man, this game is a beast - albeit a totally awesome beast.

On my system, an Athlon 64 X2 3800+ with a 6800 GPU, I've got to turn down all the graphical settings to pretty much nil for it to be playable at my display's native resolution (1920x1200). On my MacBook Pro it's pretty unplayable at any resolution.

Sigh. Stupid games making me want to upgrade.

You are not seeing much of the animations since the movie is probably skipping some frames... don't worry.. there are nice animations therein.

Wow. Those mass extractors looked *exactly* like they did in TA. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It's just surprising to see such a similarity. I also noticed a lack of animation in the units. The main walker guy was kind of stiff and just stumbled around. And when they zoomed in on him just standing there, he was as still as a statue. I'm not hating, I am certainly buying this game for sure, but I am just a bit less enthused now. I want TA2, not TA in DirectX9.
