HE IS FIGHTING A GIANT TREE!!!
Positives:
Huge improvement in the inital impressions department over Gothic 2
Huge improvement in the controls over Gothic 2.
It looks to be a good first action rpg and frankly, we can't have enough of those.
Runs great 1680x1050 on my system (amd 64 x2 4200+, 2 gigs, 7900 gt oc)
Negatives:
Its a poor man's Oblivion. Everything about this game screams budget title. The graphics, sounds, presentation just isn't AAA level. Not even B level.
Loading mmeans the whole game freezes for a minute. No loading screen, no warning that you are about to enter a loading area.
Combat is less satifying than Oblivion or even Gothic 2.
So I'll pick it up but maybe not right away.

All the while appearing to not be as hot, graphics-wise, as Oblivion.
So am I mostly in the wrong and this game does look better than Oblivion and so that's why it doesn't run as well? Or does this game just have performance issues?

How is this different from Oblivion? Is it better/worse?
Keep in mind I love Oblivion and I wonder how this compares.
