Well sorry I ranted but seriously... the game should not be this clunky out of the box...
(Puts tail between legs and begins to play NWN2)
Now if you have opened it... you must now reseal it...
You will need access to circle clear stickers or a shrink wrapping machine... I used to do it homemade and it was tough BUT doable..
Homemade shrinkwrapping : Buy a kit of window clear plastic sheet insulation (comes in a box that you attach in a window and then heat shrink)...
Carefully make an envelope that will allow a seal similar to the original...
The hard part.... sealing... you can use a real license plate... heat up the plate with an iron or on a stove (USE GLOVES!) ... when it is hot enough... barely seam the edge of the plastic to make a seal... do this for all 3 sides ... not too tight... you will need to shrink it... not too loose or it will look sloppy... Now cut off the excess plastic beyond the seam.... then trim again to get the little pieces (be careful to NOT cut the melted seam or you will have to reseam the seam)...
Use a heat gun or a hair dryer on high...
Do not over heat it.... gently swing the dryer side to side whereas the plastic you are heating will barely even get a draft... slowly the plastic will shrink over the box... continue until you are satisfied with it.... Heat it too much and it will tear and it could mean start all over... Heat it too little and it will have pock marks...
It is a science... this is how I returned over 250 games in my past.... hell with buying them... just 'rent' them! >:)

I mean I have a MEGA system... the latest vid card and drivers etc...
With all the patches and tweaks the game runs like crap... Sure the character creation was very nice but the rest of the game feels like a 2 year design... along the lines of a shakey Gothic 2 version...
The GUI / HUD is horrendous... The game plays like a slideshow... Seriously... when you can run games such as BF2142, Guildwars, Company of Heroes, and Oblivion at MAX res (widescreen) and MAX details....
Do people seriously think that NWN2 was a good design? I have played D&D from basic to 3.0... and am not opposed to the 3.5 rules at all... I just think that the engine / game was rushed to the Xmas market... and not finished...
The production value out of 100... I would give it 75....
Now... the demo for Warhammer Mark of Chaos I would rate about a 90... very polished...
And for Supreme Commander beta / demo ... I would rate it also around a 90.... and it is beta too!
I just don't get it... all these "GRAND" reviews and the game runs like crap... interface is dated over 2 years... the NWN2 forums are filled with half the people loving it (fanboys?) and half the people complaining like I am here...
FYI - I bought the NWN2 CE version... (and it IS going to be returned shortly)... and yes... sadly... I did have wants and hopes for NWN2... I expected it to be "completed" at retail... not 1 year from now...
