EA To Co-Publish Hellgate: London
by Maarten Goldstein, Nov 07, 2006 7:57am PSTThis press release was issued today, announcing that Namco Bandai has signed a deal with Electronic Arts that will see the publisher powerhouse co-publish the upcoming Hellgate: London in Europe and North America. EA will be in charge of marketing, sales and distribution of the game while Namco continues to work with Flagship Studios on the game and deals with the project's ancillary partnerships.

If EA is influencing gameplay decisions and adding a "timer" as to when the game has to be done and out the door by, then I'll pass. They fucked up too many games this way...just let the developers do what they're good at. Publishers are only good at funding games...they have an inherant tendency to fuck up everything else they touch, should they decide to do so.
