I'm planning on getting a laptop in the next few weeks and I was hoping some of you shackers can help me out with a few questions.
1. How does the AMD Turion 64 X2 cpu compare to the Intel Core 2 Duo cpus? I couldn't find any benchmarks..perhaps I was looking in the wrong place.
2. Is 17" really that much of an inconvenience? I hear it's not fun to lug around, but I intend on only using it when there's a desk to place it on. Also, keep in mind that I only do art and games, so having a larger screen would be a nice thing to have.
3. Is there a big difference between WXGA, WSXGA, WUXGA screens?
4. Any recommendations as far as brands go? I'm kind of leaning towards getting this

Well, damn, what happens when weeks or months or years down the road I've got this collection of tracks from all over the place (I won't even know where from) and they're all incompatible on various players?
Good luck sorting through all that, right?
And for iTunes 128K tracks? LOL!
To me it's like it defeats the purpose of buying digitally. I'm obliged to buy CDs and then rip the tracks so I can play them on whichever player I want when I want.

The closest I can think of is Silent Hill, it was far from a good movie but seemed ok to me.

Korban!
He sent me a 4"x5" Wacom Intuos2 FOR FREE. Thats right, I now have a wacom tablet of my very own thanks to a shacker with a heart of gold. Now I'll be able to waste my time doing things like this:

Thanks again Korban, I envy whoever is going to get you in the White Elephant, you'll probably send them a car or something!

Released six years ago today (USA Release), and I'm still having fun with the damn thing. :)
Also, coincidentally, it's been 35 years today since I've been unleashed on this world. Yay me! :/

The lack of hell and demons is still inexcusable though. They even had a weird teleporter they discovered, but it makes no stops down below.

I've been wondering about how Armed Assault is going to have an impact on Shack Tactical, so I wanted to go ahead and pose a question to everyone out there. This is primarily for people who intend to at least try the demo.
Three questions. If you reply, you can simply do a short "1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Yes" response or go more into depth.
1. If you check out the Armed Assault MP demo, will you be interested in playing on the ShackTac server with us?
2. Would you be interested in participating in some training sessions in the MP demo, hosted by the vets from ShackTac, to teach the basics to the new players?
3. If you enjoy the game and purchase it, will you be interested in joining Shack Tactical?
Thanks in advance for the responses, it'll be useful info for me. I'm currently in the process of planning out the ShackTac transition from OFP to ArmA, and the more feedback I get from everyone potentially involved in it, the better it will be. This is part of that.

Currently using IE7, but this started in a previous update. I have an intranet site that delivers a report in a java based control. I can click on things and drill down and go to new report pages and drill into them.
The problem is IE is now "Protecting" me from this control. I have to click the control once to allow me to use it, and then click it again to take action. I can't even scroll the data without clicking the control first. Where is the setting to Allow these in my intranet zone or trusted zone? all this multiple activating is really getting annoying.
Hello everyone! Here is Episode 9 for your listening pleasure.
In this episode we talk about Sony's recent official news about the PS3's
accessory pricing, launch "window" games, it's on-line service, and Chris'
experience playing some of these games recently at Sony's "Gamer's Day".
Also, some comments from 3DRealm's CEO Scott Miller about Duke Nuk'em from
the Next-Gen Podcast, Elizabeth's Gadgetry, Listener mail, and of course
"What we're playing" which includes Bully, Cooking Mama, Lumines and more.
Should be a ton of fun!
I've uploaded the M4A for now (ran out of time this morning to do both
formats). Lets see how this goes. If it's requested enough I will uploaded
the MP3 when I get home from work.

Thanks guys! Hope you enjoy it as much as we had making it.
