Firefox 2.0 Released

Available now on the Mozilla website is the version 2.0 release of Firefox. Firefox 2 features an updated user interface, phishing protection, search box enhancements, JavaScript 1.7 support and much more.

Sometimes the shack doesn't work in Firefox. I'm not sure what the problem is. It gives me the 'server not found' page.

So far I really love the new Firefox, but I'm wondering...

In maxthon, I normally drag a link somewhere on a page and release the mouse button and it automatically pops up in a new tab, and opens that tab.

That's one of the main reasons I still use maxthon.

Anyhow, The new firefox does it, but it doesn't make the tab active, so I have to switch to it.

Anybody know of an option to make it automatically switch to that tab?

Don't tell me to just middle click, I know about that, and I'd rather drag the link instead.

It looks really nice, but I installed over the top of my crufty 1.x install and the bookmark stuff exploded. The bookmarks.html file was still in my profile directory, so I just did a fresh install and copied it back in...

Hey, and spell checking while writing on the Shack, nifty!

Is this fucked for anyone else on OSX? The interface is screwey and there's a giant white box where the firefox start page should be.

Also, I was dumb to assume session manager would keep my tabs between FF versions.

I'm in no rush and waiting for it to hit the auto-updater. I guess they're leaving that until later to catch any unexpected problems before it starts going to people automatically, which seems like a good call.

Is there any way to reopen tabs you've accidentally closed?

I think I used Tabmix for it before. I'd just middle click on the tab bar and it'd come back.
