Call of Duty 3 & Tony Hawk's Project 8 do NOT have online play for the PS3 versions. Their 360 counterparts do however.

At this point, it's the only reason I have to get a PS3.

Now, was I crazy to say no to $75 on principle (it's not like I was gonna buy 5 games on day 1, and definitely not 2 accessories), or should I have bit the bullet? As it stands now they're sold out anyway, and I'm never going there again if they're going to be assholes, but I still wonder if I should've. Bah. Is what they did even legal? I wonder if I should report this to Sony.

Games that were already done for the 360:
NBA 07
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
EA Sports Fight Night Round 3
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
F.E.A.R.
Full Auto 2: Battlelines
Madden NFL 07
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
NBA 2K7
NHL 2K7
RIDGE RACER 7
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07
Basically the PS3 has 2 real launch titles.. To me that blows

I feel that increasing budgets for games is going to mean that almost every game will be on all consoles, except maybe for Wii where it will have to be modified. However, there will be exclusive, but only if MS or Sony pays enough to keep it that way. Its just not feasible to keep a game on one console anymore for publishers.

Thankfully almost everything on that list is also coming to the 360.

Only game that interests me is the new Tony Hawk game and maybe a couple of the racing games. I want my FPSes on the PC with a mouse and keyboard and I'm not really a fan of sports games like basketball and football.
I guess it means I'll stick with my PS2 for a while.

Still waiting I guess. There are some pretty awesome looking rpgs in dev for it, but those won't surface till end of next year at the earliest. I'm not really sure what could come out soon that would really push me me into the 'gotta have it' camp.
It's an impressive piece of hardware for sure, but the price is just insane, and without a killer app that I simply must own, it's too high.
Wii60 future indeed. Or, well, Wii for Mii (LOLOLOLLLLLLLLLL cry strangle gasp death)
Not keen on the 360 yet either, though the xmas games might do it - some of the games I want for it are (bafflingly) stuck in Japan.

I would put both lists at a strong "meh," but I think 360 was a little better.
