The more I hear about this game, the less excited I get. I think it might be a case of over exposure without any promise of a release date :(

Plus those aim-for-you pistols in the screenshots and in the videos really bug me. It feels like "easy-mode" to me. No, it actually reminds me of SERIOUS SAM. That's not a bad thing (sometimes), but it's not what I expected out of hellgate.

As a massive Bill Roper fanboi I really want to love Hellgate. One thing that bugs me about all the screenies and the video is the hanna barbera effect caused by the seemingly totally different color pallets from the environments to the monsters / player models.

Its similar to what I've always thought about Unreal's artistic design; the monsters don't mesh with the environments....

Maybe I'm just too used to Diablo's messy, carnage filled screens, but the lack of decals and blood splats are really bothering me. The environments looks too flat/sterile without them.

I want to see the room turn red after a bunch of Corpse Explosions, man!

This is one of my most anticipated games. I loved Diablo 2's randomization and attention to detail. And I'm a sucker for the angel/demon setting.

Anyone read the Hellgate: London comic from Dark Horse that came out yesterday? Gave some nice backstory to the main character (I believe it's her). Art was somewhat inconsistent but not bad overall.
