I hope I didn't just convince some guy I was a creepy stalker.

I was reading a blog entry about Firefox 2 RC2 being released, and one commenter said that having "Find" work inside textareas now was the most important thing in the release to him.

That made me very excited since I was the one who fixed that (and it wasn't an easy fix, it probably took me a solid month to figure out), so I tracked down his email address and sent him a thank you note.

Then after I sent it I thought, "hmm, this guy is probably wondering why in the hell I'm writing him..."

Anyone else ever done anything arguably creepy (but unintentionally so)?

    That's one of my goals in talking about stuff... I think it's good for the product, the customers and the developers to keep a dialog going.
    
    I'd probably shut down the public bugzilla if it was up to me though, that thing has a silly S/N ratio.
