SOE has released a couple of new Vanguard: Saga of Heroes screenshots, showing the inhabitants of Thestra. "Known for bustling marketplaces and complex political intrigue, Thestra is home to a variety of races, including the ever-tenacious humans, tribal varanjars, aristocratic high elves, agrarian halfings, wolf-like vulmanes, stoic lesser giants, and resilient dwarves".

After seeing the ingame movie a little awhile ago, I just can't muster any excitement for this game. It looks old! It doesn't look like a new game at all. Some aspects of it look okay, but it's missing the totality. It's sad when MMOs from 2 years ago look better. How can this game possibly compete with a game like Warhammer Online? I mean seriously, who would look at this game and WAR and honestly say "Vanguard looks so cool!".

I'll need to see a 95% review of gameplay, before I even think about buying this.
