Evening Reading

Timberlake song in my head. I'm going to try and scrape it out with a hammer and a spoon. :(

Lastly, it looks like MySpace/YouTube are finally going to get some lovin from the music industry in the form of possible lawsuits if they dont pay up.

To add some actual discussion to this thread, for those who are going to be purchasing the system, what games will you be buying? I'll probably pick up:

      -Zelda (duh)
      -Excite Truck
      -Red Steel
-Trauma Center (never played it on the ds)

      Afterwards:
      -MP3
      -Mario Galaxy
      -SSB:B
      -Rayman
      -Fire Emblem

Wow. Considering most of those games are supposed to come out pretty soon if not at launch, that's awfully promising.

Users can easily download (for a fee) several of their favourite games for the NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, TurboGrafx, Mega Drive and even MSX from the Internet, and play them on Wii. <- from the europe site...... so are some games gonna be free and some cost points?

No. All games will cost Wii points. $5 for NES, $8 for SNES, and $10 for N64 as far as I know. They haven't mentioned prices on other systems yet.

Then why not just play a RE game on another system?

          September 15, 2006 6:23 PM

because re wii will be based off different chapters of each RE game with updated graphics and a RE 4 style gameplay which is awesome.

I'll put it this way, the extra $50 would have gone towards supporting another developer's title.

I just wish I could have used that 50 bucks to buy another game. Though with Metroid Prime 3 being delayed I'm not sure what I'd get now besides Zelda. There are other seemingly good games in there, but I'm not really all that interested in them.

Question, can you also download Gamecube games or do you still have to have the physical disk, etc, to play on a Wii?

      • reply
        September 15, 2006 6:22 PM

They're not downloadable, it's just backwards compatible with the discs.

That's what I figured. Good time to start looking around on ebay for classic GC titles, eh?
